Alice is my motivation! 

I've always had an issue with my weight and food, restricting and binge eating all the time. I knew this pattern had to stop, especially after having my daughter Alice.

When I was growing up my mum didn't exercise and was on every diet known to man but still couldn't lose any weight. I knew once I had my daughter I needed to break that cycle and show Alice that you can be healthy, happy, strong and still enjoy chocolate and Haribo with exercise.

I first joined Emily and the ELF's in 2018, I was so unhappy in my new body after having Alice, dieting and restricting myself massively but needing sugar to get through the day with an 18 month old. I saw an advert for E.L Fitness child friendly camps on Facebook and thought I would give it a go. You get to meet new people and workout while Emily watches the monsters what's not to love!

I remember the first session literally wanting to throw up but I was hooked! I got down to my pre baby weight and had so much energy! I take breaks when I need to and came back to bootcamp after adjusting to a new job (night shift work) last year. Working nights I'm on my own and I found myself getting slightly depressed so I came back to the one thing that I knew would help, exercise and the ELF community. I've also started running and have entered events, running 2 half marathons which I could never imagined doing a few years ago.

I workout to show Alice that you can be strong and fit, and I want to be as fit as possible to go on bike rides with her. I also workout for my physical and mental health, I know that exercise is the key for me it keeps my moods in check and I feel stronger in myself. I no longer restrict myself or binge and I honestly believe that E. L Fitness has taught me how to stop this pattern of behaviour and to love myself!
